My Birth Stories

These are the stories of my personal births, not as a birth attendant, but as a mother. I share these because they are why I am called to work with women in birth. I had my first baby in the hospital, with "the works", and went on to have my other two babies at home with midwives. I do not share the stories of my clients' births because those stories are not mine to tell. I value the trust my clients place in me and cannot dishonor their stories by taking them and making them mine. I am merely an observer in a sacred moment of life, and so I can only share with you my sacred moments.

My hospital birth - 2000
This is the birth that changed my life and eventually led me to my calling of birth work.

My first homebirth - 2003
This birth was a healing for me in so many ways.

My latest birth
This birth was simply beautiful.
